Dyes are an easy way to add colour to cosmetics – however, they are not as stable as pigments or micas and may morph or fade in soap and will not settles out of solutions. The two main benefits of dyes is that they are cheaper (than micas and pigments) and they maintain complete transparency which is ideal in clear liquid bases or in melt and pour bases. However dyes will ‘bleed’ in soap.
We suggest the use of our solvent dyes in colouring our reed diffuser base, cold process and hot process soaps as well as in other anhydrous products.
Not suitable for use in lip and eye products.
Sold in 30ml sizes.
