Sodium benzoate & Potassium sorbate is a liquid cosmetic preservative, which can be used in leave-on as well as in rinse-off products. It was developed for use in cosmetic formulations with a skin-friendly pH value of up to 5.5. It has a broad,balanced spectrum of effect against bacteria, yeasts and mould fungi.
This preservative system is acceptable to the Soil Association for use in products that are looking for Soil Association accreditation.
Usage: 0.5 – 1.5% Add at cool down phase.
Stable pH range: 3-6

The recommended percentages are individual to the sensitivity of the product to microbial contamination, the choice of raw materials used and product hygiene.
